June 5, 1895 ---- August 30, 1990

George A. Scheppler, 95, rural Rockford, died Thursday, Aug. 30, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hanford Community Church in Mason City, Rev. Dean M. Coffey officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. The Major-Erickson Funeral Home of Mason City was in charge of arrangements.

George A. Scheppler, son of John and Rosine (Morel) Scheppler, was born June 5, 1895 in Clarion. He married Caroline Gerber on Oct. 6, 1928 in Charles City. Mr. Scheppler was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife Caroline, rural Rockford; two daughters, Coleen Whipple, Mason City and Katie Morphew, Lake City, Minn.; a son, Robert G. Scheppler, rural Rockford; a sister, Marguarite Sheffield, Clarion; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, five sisters and two brothers.

Mr. Scheppler was a member of the Hanford Community Church of Mason City; the Mason City Senior Citizens, and was a life member of the V.F.W.
