DEATH TAKES MRS. H. N. ROSELAND
Funeral Services Will Be Held Friday Afternoon at 3:00 o'clock

Mrs. H. N. Roseland died at her home on North Jackson avenue about 7:30 Tuesday morning. She had been suffering from heart trouble and complications for a number of weeks. Everything possible was done to relieve her sufferings and prolong her life, but without avail. A specialist from Des Moines was called in consultation but he could do nothing for her relief.

There is universal sadness caused by the death of Mrs. Roseland. She was an ideal homemaker, and her entire interests centered in her home and church work. The sympathy of the entire community is extended the surviving relatives. The following obituary was prepared by her pastor, Rev. Severtson:

Anna Olson was born May 25, 1858, at Kjette, Helgeland, Norway, and died at Eagle Grove, Iowa, June 30, 1925, age 67 years, 1 month, and 6 days, after an illness of seven weeks. She came to the United States to Eagle Grove, Iowa, April 3, 1887, and was married to Henry N. Roseland March 24, 1889. They lived at Eagle Grove all their married life with the exception of nine years when they lived at Gifford, Iowa.

One little daughter, Jordis, three months old, passed on before. She now leaves her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Peterson and Mrs. Esther Gunderson. She also leaves four brothers, Hans Olson of Mason City, Iowa; Andrew and Nels Olson of Seattle, Wash.; Lawrence Olson, in Norway. Also four sisters, Mrs. J. A. Mason of Eldora, Iowa, and three in Norway, Karen Nordvig, Ragnhild Olson, and Mrs. Lena Peterson.

Those of us who knew Mrs. Roseland, knew her as a very faithful friend. A neighbor who was always ready to help, but she did not claim the kingdom of God because of anything she did. She actually had to lay hold on the kingdom of God with violence, according to the words of the Savior. After a hard struggle with doubt and unbelief she could say, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus only can my heartfelt longing still."

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon July 3 from the home and, from the East Side Lutheran church at 3 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Rosehill cemetery.
