Robert H. Butt, 84, Cottage Grove, MN, died July 12, 2018 at Woodbury Senior Living in Woodbury, MN. A memorial service was held July 14 at Kok Funeral Home in Cottage Grove. Interment will be held later at Evergreen Cemetery at Centerville, WI.

Robert was born March 9, 1934 in Winona, MN to Harry Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Lyman) Butt. He graduated high school in Winona in 1952 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1953 during the Korean War. Robert married JoAnn Walton in Winona in 1957, and they lived in Kansas, Mankato, MN and Belmond.

Robert enjoyed his bus driving career for 33 years. He enjoyed touring across America and talking to the strangers that boarded his bus. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, whose love extended to his brother and the Walton Family. In 2000 he and JoAnn rekindled their relationship and had been dating until JoAnn’s passing on April 25, 2016.

Robert is survived by sons Randall (Pam), Scott, Wayne (Angi), and Kevin (Michelle); grandchildren Kristin, Brandon, Jennifer, Joshua, Jeffrey, Logan, Jeremy, Jessica and Brenden; great-grandchildren Madison, Megan and Sawyer; brother Paul (Kathy); and niece Lindsay. He is preceded in death by his parents.
