Fred Joseph Crovisier, the son of Charles Joseph Crovisier and Mary (Marie Molly) Kastler Crovisier was born January 23, 1919 at home on a farm southeast of Eagle Grove. Fred was raised, educated and farmed in the area of his birth.

Fred married Edna Bernice Yenck on February 23, 1941 and two daughters were born to this union. Fred and Bee farmed near Webster City at the beginning of their married life then moved to their farm southeast of Eagle Grove (1 mile from his birthplace) where they remained and continued to farm until their retirement. They were the couple where if you saw one then the other was close by whether they were on the farm working, socializing or attending family events.

Due to some of Bee's health issues, they chose to be closer to their daughters and moved to Kentucky Ridge Assisted Living in Mason City. After Bee's death Fred remained there until he moved to Good Shepherd Health Center two years ago. He enjoyed farm updates, "fixing" things and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He never quit worrying about how the weather was affecting the farmers and their seasons and how the crops were doing. He had made many friends at Good Shepherd and adored "the girls" who took care of him there. He always had a quick smile and a comment for them.

Fred passed away on June 17, 2018 at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City at the age of 99. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, his son-in-law Greg Dralle and his wife, Bee. Survivors include daughters, Carol (Dave) Clayton and Kathy Dralle all of Mason City, a grandson Nicholas Dralle of Burlington, Iowa, granddaughter Chelsea (Denny) Knights of Iowa Falls and great-granddaughter Daisy Knights and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove with Reverend Don Morrison officiating. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.
