Herbert John Robinson, the son of George and Eliza Marie Fred­erick, was born December 18, 1887 at Mount Bridges, Canada, and passed away at his home in Suth­erland, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 21 days.

As a small child he came to the United States, and lived at Eagle Grove, Iowa, where he attended the local schools. Later he moved to Ames, Iowa, residing there sev­eral years before moving to the Peterson-Sutherland community.

Mr. Robinson was a member of the Christian Church of Ames. On January 4, 1910, he was un­ited in marriage to Alice Jane Briley at Ames, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice in July of this year.

Left to cherish his memory are a sister, Lillian, (Mrs. A. P. Sorensen) of Fort Dodge, Iowa; two nephews, John B. Borway, Fort Dodge, and Thomas F. Borway, Mojave, California; a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. D. Faber of Minne­polis, and two brothers-in-law, A. P. Sorensen, of Fort Dodge and J. D. Faber of Minneapolis, sev­eral other relatives and friends.
