Carl Maier, 97, a long time resident, died Sunday at Taylor Rest Home in Eagle Grove. Services were at 9 am. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Francis McEnany was in charge. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, including a nephew, Joe Maier Sr., Eagle Grove. Born in Germany, Mr. Maier came to America and farmed most of his life. He retired 36 years ago.
