Davis Hart
Uncle Davis Hart died Wednesday at the soldiers' home in Marshalltown. His daughter, Mrs. V. H. Whiteman of Webster City, has been notified of her father's death but no particulars of his illness have yet been received here.

Davis Hart was born July 26, 1826 in Ohio. He came to Iowa in 1870 and located in Webster City. He remained here one year and then removed to Wright County, where he lived on a farm near Woolstock for twenty-one years. From there he went to Renwick and lived with a daughter for fifteen years. Three years ago last November the deceased returned to Webster City and eleven months ago he went to Marshalltown to spend his remaining days in the soldiers' home. Mr. Hart was a veteran of the Mexican war and was well known throughout Hamilton and Wright counties. He was a loyal and patriotic defender of his country and a good citizen. His numerous friends will regret to hear of his demise.
