PHYLLIS T. STRYKER GORMISH

Phyllis Thebiay Stryker was born August 19, 1918, to O. A. and Carrie (Thebiay) Stryker in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1936. She was married to Robert Roper. They moved to San Diego, Calif., and lived there several years before they divorced. She later married Andrew Gormish and they later divorced. She was a talented artist and was well-known in the San Diego area. Phyllis T. S. Gormish died October 18, 1997 [in San Diego]. Survivors include a niece, two nephews, and one grand niece, and three grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert; and a sister, Mary.
