W. F. BEYER, 54; DIES IN CITY
William F. Beyer, 54, widely known Williams businessman, died Sunday at Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday morning. Death was due to a blood clot. Mr. Beyer had been in poor health for the past two years. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Vernon Lutheran church nine miles northwest of Williams, preceded by brief services at the Beyer home in Williams. The services at the Beyer home will start at 1 p.m. The Rev. Haferman will officiate and burial will be at the Vernon Lutheran church cemetery. Foster's funeral home is in charge of the rites.

William Fred Beyer, son of John and Dorothea [Badel] Beyer, was born May 8, 1893 on a farm in Wright county. He received his education and grew to young manhood in that community. In 1910, he took a mechanics' course at Sweeney Auto school at Kansas City, Mo. Following this he was employed as a mechanic at Dows for two years then later started farming in Vernon township. He served as a township clerk for several years. Following the death of his parents, Mr. Beyer moved into Williams and went into business. He continued in business. He continued in business until a year and a half ago when he retired due to ill health.

He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Carl of Rowan, Herman of Williams, Mrs. Martha Rockow of Williams, and Mrs. Fred Madole of Iowa Falls. Also surviving are 13 nieces and nephews and other relatives. Mr. Beyer was baptized in the Lutheran faith Feb. 1, 1893 and was confirmed April 12, 1903. He was a faithful member of the St. Paul Vernon Lutheran church.
