Services Held For Herman A. Heiden
Herman A. Heiden, 87, a long time Vernon Township area farmer, died on Tuesday evening, Dec. 17, 1974 at the Heritage Home in Clarion, where he had lived since March of 1965. Funeral services were held on Saturday at 2:00 P. M. from the Vernon Lutheran Church with Pastor David A. Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Vernon Township Cemetery and the Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. He was born in Vernon Township in Wright County on August 27, 1887 and was the son of Fred and Mary Harbrecht Heiden. He was raised and educated in that area and later lived in Webster City before engaging in farming, which he continued until his retirement in 1965. Mr. Heiden was baptised and confirmed at the Vernon Lutheran Church of which he was still a member. He was united in marriage to Ruth Corwin at Clarion in 1922, and she preceded him in death in 1939. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
