Lester S. Askvig Funeral Tuesday
Funeral services for Lester Samuels Askvig, 66, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Sandvig Chapel at 2:00 with Rev. Jordan Jacobson officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Mr. Askvig died Sunday morning following a long illness. He is survived by his wife Carrie, one sister Mrs. Clifford Robb of Centralia, Mo. two brothers Omer of Cherokee and Bert of Boone. Mr. and Mrs. Askvig farmed 16 years near Goldfield and moved to Eagle Grove in 1948, where they operated the Askvig Custodial Home until the first of this year. They moved to their new home at 215 S.W. 2nd St. in January.
