Woolstock Man Dies Monday A. M.
Earl L. Finch, 61, widely known farmer living four and one-half miles west of Woolstock, died Monday morning at the Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient the past two weeks. He had been in ill health the past three years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Harvey Prinz officiating and with burial in the Memorial Park cemetery at Fort Dodge.Earl Lyston Finch, son of Harry and Carrie Finch, was born Nov. 28, 1902 at Webster City and was reared and educated in the Webster City Community. He was united in marriage December 10, 1924, to Odette Caquelin, and the couple farmed in the Blairsburg-Webster City community until 1946 when they moved to their farm four and one-half miles west of Woolstock.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Maynard Finch of Webster City; three grandchildren, Leslie, Kavin and Lori Finch; one brother, Clifford Finch of Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glenn Finch. Mr. Finch was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.
