16 September 1919 ---- 7 May 1959

Belmond, Iowa -- Luverne Lein, 39, foreman at Tomco Hybrid Seed Corn Co., died Thursday evening of a heart attack. He suffered the attack at the Charles Wilmarth farm, then drove himself to the hospital and died shortly after arrival. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. O. M. Sevevkeike will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.

Born Sept. 16, 1919, at Kanawha, he was a veteran of World War II. He was married to Margaret Just of Belmond. They have reared two nieces, Sharon and Betty Just. Surviving are his wife, his mother, Mrs. Alice Lein, Belmond; three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Opal) Peterson, Goodell; Mrs. Dick (Ruth) Ersland, Belmond; Mrs. Bill (Marjory) Sheriff Jr., Goodell; three brothers, Arlyn, Garner; Kenneth, Thompson and Wayne, Forest City.
