David Anliker was born December 27, 1941 at Creston, Iowa and raised on a farm near Ottosen. Following the death of his father, the family moved to West Bend where Dave attended school. On June 5, 1960, he married Virginia Zinnel and the couple had three sons, Dave (DJ), Dan, and Bud. The family made their home in various Iowa communities where Dave worked for area farmers before settling in Hardy in 1973. Dave worked for the Hardy COOP for 35 years until his retirement. Virginia passed away in July of 2004. He then met Susie Halling and the couple were united in marriage on December 27, 2006 and made their home in Hardy. He and Susie had over 11 years of fun together attending auctions, making trips to the casino, and traveling all over the United States. Dave was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was able to attend a game at Wrigley in 2016. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes but especially loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Above all, Dave loved his family and enjoyed every opportunity he could spend with them.
