Funeral Friday for Mrs. Elder, 80, in Goodell Residence

Goodell - Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ethel White for her mother, Mrs. Theodore [sic. Thomas] Elder, 80, who died Sunday at her home in Bennett, Colo. The body arrived Thursday. Burial will be in Amsterdam cemetery, beside her husband who died three years ago. The Elders formerly lived in Goodell.

Clear Lake Pioneer, Mrs. Lottie Elder, Buried at Goodell

Clear Lake - Mrs. S. E. Elder returned Sunday evening from Goodell where she attended funeral services on Friday for her sister, Mrs. Lottie Elder, who died in Colorado Sept 17 and whose body was brought to Goodell for burial. Mrs. Elder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hughitt, [sic. Hewitt] pioneer settlers of Clear Lake, was born Nov. 3, 1860, in a log cabin on the east bank of Clear Lake. Mr. Hughitt [sic. Hewitt] was one of the earliest settlers to come to Clear Lake and his daughter will be remembered by many of the older generation.
