Services for Larry W. Ulrich, 49, Klemme, who died at his home in Klemme of self-inflicted gunshot wound, Thursday, March 9, 1989, were held Monday, March 13, 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Don Walters officiating. Music was provided by Diane Stadtlander who accompanied soloist Gordon Beier and David Boelman. Honorary casket bearers were Harlan Block, Raymond Helps, Howard Anderson, Doug Roul, Roger Olson and Karen Knudtson. Active bearers were Dwight Davis, Rich Hanson, J. C. Peterson, Dann Schroeder, William Kurtz and Charles Butler. Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme with Tenold Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

Larry Wayne Ulrich, the son of Richard and Pauline (Ausborn) Ulrich, was born September 28, 1939 at Ventura. He spent his childhood in Klemme and graduated from Klemme High School in 1958. November 20, 1960, he married Shirlene Busick and they had made their home in Klemme since that time.

All during the time Larry was growing up he helped uncle's Fred, Bill and Dutch Ausborn on their farm. He loved to farm, and from 1975 to 1985 his father Richard and Larry together with the "Bears" farmed as partners until their farm sale in 1986.
