Dows, Iowa --- Cathy Lynn Martin, age 52, passed away in Iowa Falls, Iowa on January 4, 2018. She was born March 17, 1965 in Manning, S.C., to David K. and Miriam Martin. Cathy graduated from Pendleton High School in 1983. She attended Anderson College and Coastal Carolina University where she played on the tennis team. Graduating with a business degree, she worked at the Michelin Corporate Office in Greenville for many years. In 2004, following her passion for playing tennis, she moved to Tampa, Florida and became a tennis instructor. She taught all ages at the Carrollwood Village tennis courts. She loved the game of tennis and sharing her knowledge with her students. Cathy was happiest on the tennis courts. Cathy loved her family and three rescue dogs.

Cathy is preceded in death by her mother, Miriam (Culbertson) Martin he is survived by her father and stepmother, David K. and Doris (Swann) Martin of Anderson; her brother, John Martin of Winston-Salem; her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Budd Cobb of Dows, Iowa; her nephew, Alf Cobb and wife, Katie of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her nephew , John Tyler Martin of Charlottesville, Virginia; her stepbrother, George Swann and wife, Michelle of Anderson, her stepsister, Cindy (Swann) Suttles and husband, Larry of Anderson.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on January 28, 2018 in Iowa Falls, Iowa at the First United Methodist Church at 1:30 pm and a Celebration of Life Service in Anderson, S.C. in the spring. Details will be announced at a later date. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
