24 June 1853 --- 13 November 1921

Mrs. Julia Bauge was born in Kendall County, Ill., June 24, 1853. On Feb. 1, 1874, she was united in marriage to Joseph Bauge. The same year the family moved to Story County, Iowa, where they lived eight years, moving to Emmet County in 1882, where they remained fifteen years, coming to Dows in 1897, where they have lived since. Mr. Bauge died December 12, 1917. One child also preceded its mother into the life beyond. Mrs. Bauge's health broke down about five years ago, and she had been gradually failing ever since, quietly passing away on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13, 1921.

Of near relatives, the following survive her: Mrs. Jacob Herum, Wallingford, Iowa; Mrs. G. H. Gilbertsen, London, Minn.; Nelson Bauge, Dows, Iowa; Mrs. Samuel Bergeson, Ellsworth, Iowa; Mrs. Wm. Bray, Dows, Iowa; Mrs. O. B. Iverson, Dows; Gerald Bauge, Austin, Minn.; Jessie Bauge, Elwood Bauge and Delbert Bauge, all of Dows. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and six sisters and three brothers.
