Segney J. Crement, 97, of Belleair Bluffs, FL passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Segney was born on May 3, 1920 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to the late Solvie & Josephine Nodland. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1938, attended Greg College in Chicago and worked as a secretary at the International Harvester Company. Segney met and married Harry Holmes of River Forrest, Illinois after WWII and was blessed with three daughters and a son. After Harry's death she moved to Largo where she met and married John Crement.
Segney was an avid watercolorist and former member of the Gulf Beach Art Center. Also she was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Largo where she was active in the church Women's Association, sang in the church choir and served as a Stephens Minister and Lay Pastor.
Segney was preceded in death by her two husbands, a daughter Marla Hanson, brothers Arnold, Thomas, Thorolf and Virgil Nodland and sister Bernice Glestad. Surviving are her loving children Paul (Jean) Holmes of Davis, CA, Claudia Holmes of Clearwater, FL, Jo Ellyn (Douglas) King of Belleair Bluffs, FL, three grandsons Andrew King, Alex King & Walker Holmes, step children Jacqueline Hayes, Anthony (Joyce) Crement, Wayne Crement, step grandchildren Stephanie Crement Amico & Emily Lane Crement and step great grandsons Calvin Crement Czapko, Henry & Maxwell Amico.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be offered to Christ Presbyterian Church, 3115 Dryer Road, Largo, FL 33770 or the Gulf Beach Art Center, 1515 Bay Palm Blvd., Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785. Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11 am at Christ Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, Florida.
