Myrna Dean (Warren) Inman, 91, of Marshalltown, passed away Sunday December 31, 2017, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Reverend Greg Davison officiating. Burial at Graceland Cemetery will follow the services. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Myrna Dean Warren, daughter of Pearl and Beulah Sears Warren, was born September 25, 1926 in Allerton. As a child she moved with her parents to Webster City in 1927. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City. She married Melvin Inman on December 5, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple farmed in Dakota City and later Dows before moving to a farm south east of Woolstock in 1963. They retired from farming in 1978 and moved to Webster City and then on to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
Myrna is survived by her sister, Della Hisler of Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Charles and Lorinda Inman of Adel, Douglas and Karmen Inman of Des Moines, Kenneth and Linda Inman of Lincoln, NE; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Chester and Beulah (Sears) Warren; husband, Melvin Charlie Inman; five brothers and six sisters. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Marshalltown. Until Melvin's death on October 24, 1996, Myrna spent every day with him and the staff at the Veterans Home. She enjoyed Ceramics class and making gifts to send to her family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Myrna.
