Mrs. Thomas Bell, 73, died at her Eagle Grove home Sunday, Dec. 3 after a long-illness. Funeral services were held at Kastler Funeral Home Wednesday at 2:00, Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery. She was born Emma Sophia to Nels and Serana Ersland Johnson in Boone County May 28, 1888. Two years later she moved with her family to a farm east of Goldfield and lived the rest of her life in Wright County. On April 17, 1913 she married Thomas F. Bell of Eagle Grove. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and of the Northwestern Women's Club. She is survived by her husband, Tom, by a sister, Mrs. Mary Edwards of Eagle Grove, by a brother-in-law Joseph Bell and his wife of Ames, nephews, nieces and cousins and a host of friends.
