Larry St. John Services Here. Burial In Osage

Funeral services for Larry St. John, 53, were held at the Sacquety-Sandvig Chapel Monday afternoon at one o'clock. Mr. St. John died Saturday at the Clarion hospital following a short illness. Pastor Kenneth Torvik had charge of the service and burial was in the cemetery at Osage. Mr. St. John was plant superintendent of the dairy and poultry departments at Wilson and Co. for many years. He is survived by his wife, Alice , who is a teacher in the Goldfield schools, one daughter, Mrs. Sterling Meyer of Blairsburg, two sons Jerry and Jim at home. He is also survived by one granddaughter and two half brothers Ralph Lee of Seattle, Wash, and Frank Lee in Saudi Arabia; Attending the burial services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Porter Espeland, Vicki Voigt, Jim Johnson and Porter Espeland, Jr.

Larry St. John, recently plant superintendent of the Dairy and Poultry Division of Wilson's at Eag1e Grove died at Clarion hospita1 Saturday, Dec. 2nd at the age of 53. Services were held at Sacquety Funeral Chapel Monday at 1:00, Rev. Kenneth R. Torvik officiating. Interment followed at Osage.

Although better known as Larry, he was born Pizarro to Fred and Harriet St. John at Richland Center, Wisc. March 1, 1908. At the age of 7 he moved with his family to Dundee, Iowa where he attended public schools. He also attended Cornell College. He has worked with poultry processing or hatchery business at Manchester, Dundee, Cedar Falls, Eagle Grove and Coon Rapids. He married Alice Miller at Cedar Falls June 30, 1935, who survives him, as do his daughter Julie, Mrs. Sterling Meyer of Blairsburg, and two sons Jerry and James of Eagle Grove. He is also survived by two half-brothers: Ralph Lee of Seattle, Wash., and Frank Lee, in military service in Saudi. Arabia.

Mr. St. John entered Clarion Community hospital Nov. 13 where he died Dec. 2 from acute leukemia.
