Juanita Thomas Naylor passed away peacefully on September 2, 2017, in Portland, OR, with family by her side. She was born September 17, 1926, in Des Moines, IA, to Oscar E. and Norma G. Thomas. The family moved to Webster City when she was nine years old, and she graduated from Webster City High School in 1944. She attended Webster City Jr. College and Drake University.

She married Lyle Naylor on April 3, 1947, and they lived in Iowa, Oklahoma, Illinois, and California before moving to Oregon in 1972. They had five children, who survive her: Tom of Las Vegas, NV, Dave of Portland, OR, Holly (Keith) Barker of La Verne, CA, Becky (George) Knoop of Freeport, IL, and Nancy (Doug) Martin of West Linn, OR; grandchildren, Heidi, Brooke, Matt, Greg, Kyle, and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Jess, Jack, Elly, Seth, and Cruz; brother Bill (Ruth) Thomas of Ocala, FL, and sister Deanna Thomas of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lyle Naylor and Gayle Maudlin, and sisters Carolyn Kirby and Audrey Jones.

A private family burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to any organization that supports Alzheimers research.
