November 3, 1930 --- December 4, 2017

Beverly “Bev” Maxine Berneman, 87, of Mason City, IA died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm with a one hour prior visitation on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd St SE, Mason City, with Ron Graff officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rockwell Cemetery with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating.

Beverly was born on November 3, 1930 in Clarion, Iowa to Cecil and Blanche (Hulse) Paine. She was raised one of nine children and attended school then graduated high school. Throughout her life she worked at various different jobs. On September 24, 1968 she was united in marriage to James Berneman in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple resided in Mason City together with their children.

In her free time Beverly enjoyed attending church functions. She had a strong faith and was a devoted Christian. Beverly loved visiting with people and spending time with her family. She had a happy go lucky personality and was always upbeat. Beverly shared her love with others; especially children.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jim Berneman of Mason City; sons, Kenneth (Judy) Schroeder of Liberty, KS, Tim (Sue) Berneman of Mason City and Robert (Sally) Berneman of Mason City; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karen and Delores and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Christian John Schroeder and Jeffrey Alan Berneman and six siblings. Fullerton Funeral Home -- Mason City, IA
