Mindy L. (Marchese) Stiner, 63, of Tully, New York, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa died unexpectedly from natural causes at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, New York, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born on October 22, 1954, in Belmond, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Rose (Riggan) Marchese. She married Mike Stiner on January 20, 1979, at First Congregational Church in Waterloo. They moved to Tully in 1993. Mindy enjoyed traveling and exploring the outdoors. She loved dogs, especially her three yellow labs. Most of all Mindy loved her family. She could talk to anyone and was a joy to be around. Mindy loved life.

She is survived by her husband; brother, Joe (Judy) Marchese of Dumont, Iowa; sister, Mary Ann (Patrick) Moore of Waterloo; brothers-in-law Russell (Cathy) Stiner and Chuck Stiner of Ankeny; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are being held in Syracuse, New York, with a private burial service in Waterloo at a later date. Waterloo Cemetery

Mindy enjoyed traveling and exploring the outdoors. She supported her husband Mike's hobbies, especially his trapshooting at the Pompey Rod and Gun Club. Mindy loved dogs, especially her three yellow labs. She loved Syracuse and Lafayette, where she lived. Most of all Mindy loved her family. She could talk to anyone and was a joy to be around. Mindy loved life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Mike Stiner; One brother, Joe (Judy) Marchese of Dumont, Iowa; one sister, Mary Ann (Patrick) Moore of Waterloo, Iowa; brothers-in-law Russell (Cathy) Stiner and Chuck Stiner of Ankeny, Iowa; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In honor of Mindy's love for dogs, please make a donation in lieu of flowers to CNY SPCA or any animal rescue foundation of choice.
