Theoline Wagner, the daughter of Charles and Lena Kinde Johnson, was born on Feb. 26,1894 on a farm in Norway Township near Belmond, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf Church by Rev. Holm. She received her education in the rural Norway Township schools, the Iowa Falls Commercial College and took her nursing training at Dubuque, Iowa. She was a practical nurse for several years. On Feb. 15, 1924, she was united in marriage with Amos Wagner at the home of her parents near Belmond. To this union were born four children, Arthur, Doris, Marie and Curtis. After their marriage, the couple lived on a farm south of Holmes until 1935, when the family moved to a farm in Eagle Grove Township. In 1955, Theoline and Amos retired and moved into Eagle Grove. She had been a resident of the Rotary Ann Home for the past ten years. She was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church.

She died at the Rotary Ann Home on Tuesday evening, Sept 14, 1982, at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 18 days. She is survived by her husband, Amos Wagner of Eagle Grove; her daughters, Doris, Mrs. Martin Solheim of Eagle Grove; Marie, Mrs. Elwood Greene of Lake City, Minn.; two sons, Arthur Wagner of rural Eagle Grove; Curtis Wagner of Clarion; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wagner of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Aletta Enge of Fairmont, Minn.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; six brothers and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Amos (Theoline) Wagner, were held on Saturday, Sept. 18, 1982 at 2 p.m., at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Thomas Jolivette officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home.
