Mrs. Julia Rosetta Uhr Dahlberg, the daughter of John and Anna Beshey Bernard, was born on May 27, 1898 on a farm near Woolstock, Iowa. She grew up and attended the rural schools of Woolstock. She was united in marriage to Orvin Uhr of Eagle Grove on Jan. 21, 1920 at Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove and Mr. Uhr was associated with Security Savings Bank. He died in 1961. Julia was married to Wilhelm Dahlberg on Jan. 28, 1968 at Eagle Grove. They made their home in Eagle Grove and Mr. Dahlberg was in the auto business. He died on Oct. 13, 1977. A nephew, Duarte Bernard, made his home with Julia and her husband for several years. Mrs. Dahlberg was a long-time member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was very active in the Ladies Aid and on other committees of the church. She was Past Worthy Matron and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star; Past Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine; member of the Rebekah Lodge.

She died at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove on Wed., Dec. 16, 1981 at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 19 days. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Elsie McCarty of Needles, Calif., a step-son, Dr. William Dahlberg of Seattle, Wash.; two step-daughters, Helen, Mrs. David Huseth of Bellevue, Wash.; Karen, Mrs. Norman Knudsen of Hillsboro, Mo.; several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, who have been very close to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a daughter, who died at birth and a son, Orvin, Jr., who died at the age of 18 months; a sister, Mrs. Emma DeBuhr; two brothers, Ernest and Claude Bernard, and a nephew, Duane Bernard.

Funeral services for Mrs. Julia R. Dahlberg were held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 1981 at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Kenneth R. Torvik and Rev. Waldemar Gies officiated and the burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Eastern Star services were held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on Friday evening, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
