Joe Koenen, 58, died at his home at Goodell at one Wednesday following a long illness from the effects of a stroke. He was born June 8, 1893 in Franklin County and grew up in this vicinity. In April 1938 he married Elizabeth Vestweber. Surviving him are his wife, one daughter Mary, one son, Larry, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Rev. E. Kampman officiating at the service at one p.m. at the home and two at Meservey Cemetery. Fulton Funeral Home in charge.
