Don B. Phipps, the son of David and Donna (Yeager) Phipps was born April 6, 1958, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. As a child, Don and his family moved around a lot. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 18 and served until his Honorable Discharge.

Don worked and traveled with a Carnival. He married Joyce Baxter in 1985 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on the Merri-Go-Round. They moved to Ida Grove, Iowa, where he worked at Midwest Industries, construction, and drove truck. He moved to Peterson, Iowa, in 2013. Don enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and riding his bicycle.

Don passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at his home, at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Joyce Baxter of Peterson, IA; 3 children: Kaula Phipps of Bloomfield, KY, Logan Phipps of Bloomfield, KY, and Dakota Phipps of Shelbyville, KY; two grandsons: Christopher J. and Dakota James Jr.; his dog, Kaine; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will take place 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Warner Chapel in Peterson, IA. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Warner Funeral Home in Peterson. MUSIC: "Amazing Grace," "On Eagle's Wings," "The Lord Is My Light," "Stand By Me"
INTERMENT: At a later date.
