Services for Francis Buseman, 76, Garner, who died Sunday, Sept. 13 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 10 a.m. at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Don Walters officiating. Music will be provided by Diane Stadtlander, organist. Casket bearers will be David Schoenwetter, Robert Schoenwettewr, Laurice Lemke, Virgil Stille, John Schwichtenberg and Raymond Schoenwetter. Burial will be at Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme.

Francis Buseman, the son of Henry and Margaret (Roths) Buseman, was born October 13, 1915 on a farm northeast of Klemme. He grew up on his parents farm south of Klemme, which has been in the Buseman family since the spring of 1891. His education was in a country school and he graduated from Klemme High School in 1933. He was baptized June 1, 1919 by Rev. Thiel in the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Hempe Buseman in Klemme.

On May 29, 1936, he married Betty Velau at Waterloo where he was working at the time. They farmed many years in the Klemme area before retiring and moving to Garner in October of 1990. He enjoyed working with wood and did carpenter work. He and Betty worked with the 4-H for 16 years. They spent many winters in California and Texas. Francis was a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ in Klemme, where he was confirmed in the spring of 1930 by Rev. Calvin Grosshuesch.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sisters, Leona Priebe and Esther Schlawin, both of Klemme; one brother, Franklin Buseman of Belmond; five nieces, Luella Bonner and Lucille Gaffney of Swaledale, Miriam Jaberg of Fridley, MN, Lynette Neuhring of Kanawha, and Sheri Williams of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
