December 25, 1839 ---- February 18, 1921

Mrs. Wm. Card died Saturday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Spear, in Cedar Falls. The funeral was held from her residence on South Lucas, Monday afternoon, Rev. Morphy having charge of the services. The Relief Corps attended in a body, six of the members were pallbearers. They gave their impressive ritual service at the grave. Mrs. Card was born in New York state in 1839, lived in Ohio and Michigan, and came to Iowa and lived a few years at Eldora, then came to Eagle Grove and has lived here 35 years. Her husband died eight years ago. She leaves no immediate family but hosts of friends will carry with them always pleasant memories of their acquaintance with her.
