August Horn, 98, Dies March 30

August Horn, 98, died at his home Wednesday evening. He was one of Wright county's oldest citizens. He was born in Germany and came to this country when quite young. He was married to Gertrude Pope about 68 years ago, to which union three children were born, all lived to be grown but preceded him in death, his wife dying 31 years ago. The children were Mrs. Lena Schultz, Mrs. Anna Lentz and Carl Horn. There are 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Mr. Horn
moved to Dows in 1905 and was married to Mrs. Minnie Graepler, who died January 11, 1930. The
funeral was held here in the Lutheran church Friday with burial at the German Lutheran cemetery in Vernon township. The Rev. Edward Duea was in charge.
