Elsa M. Domres — 11 a.m. Monday, Vernon Lutheran Church, Dows, by the Revs. Roger Dykstra of Vernon Lutheran Church and Marvin Ehnen of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Burial: Vernon Lutheran Church Cemetery. The casket will be closed before the service. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the church after 10 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Elsa M. Domres, 80, of 4444 C Ave. NE, died in her home Friday morning following a long illness. She was born Feb. 13, 1907, in Vernon Township, Wright County, and married Clarence Domres there on June 18, 1930. He died in 1963. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Elsa Leto of Des Moines; a son, Clarence of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Vernon Lutheran Church, Dows, by the Rev. Roger Dykstra of Vernon Lutheran Church and the Rev. Marvin Ehnen of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from ll a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home or after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. 3634 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids 52402. The casket will be closed at all times.
