17 June 1919 ---- 17 September 1978

Victor E. Kocher, 59, 3305 7th Ave. died Sunday at his residence [in Sioux City, Iowa] of an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 10:30 a. m., Wednesday in Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel. The Rev. Lowell B. Johnson of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. A graveside flag presentation ceremony will be conducted by Monahan Post 64 American Legion.

Mr. Kocher was born June 17, 1919, at Goldfield, Iowa. He married Dorothy Helen Scott Nov 21, [20], 1941, at Junction City, Kan. He lived at Humboldt, Iowa before moving to Sioux City in 1948. He was employed at Johnson Biscuit Co. for 17 years, retiring in May of 1977. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Teamsters Union Local 383, and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps.

Survivors include the widow; one son Richard of Withee, Wis., four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Kellen and Mrs. Carol Roberts, both of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Judith Jotzke of Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Cheryl Bass of Waterloo; three brothers, Dr. Edwin of Petersburg, Ill., Ralph of Humboldt and and John of College Station, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Mary Fisher of Creston, and 8 grandchildren.
