CLEAR LAKE, IA - Cornelia "Cora" Watermiller, 93, of 1102 S. Eighth St., died Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) at the IOOF Home with her daughters by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rolling Acres Christian Reformed Church, 340 20th St. S.W., Mason City, with the Rev. Jack Vanden Heuvel officiating. Interment will be in Meservey Cemetery, Meservey. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City. Memorials may be directed to Rolling Acres Christian Reformed Church.

Cora was born Sept. 18, 1909, in Kanawha, the daughter of Henry and Katie (Bohlen) Kamp. She was confirmed and baptized at Wright Christian Reformed Church, rural Kanawha, where she served as the pianist for several years. She attended school in Kanawha. Cora married George Watermiller on Oct. 24, 1931. She was a member of Rolling Acres Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, baking her homemade cinnamon rolls and having coffee with her friends at Hy-Vee. She enjoyed her special friends at the IOOF Home. The family would like to thank the staff for the care she received while she was a resident there. Cora loved her Lord, church and family dearly.

She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine Pitkin of Clear Lake and Vergene Koenen and her husband, Byron, of Clear Lake; two granddaughters, Valerie Kohler and husband, Wayne, of Meservey, and Renae Reschly of Bothell, Wash.; three great- grandsons, Shawn, Brandon and Matthew Koehler; one great- great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Cora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George, Oct. 19, 1962; a son-in-law, Franklin Pitkin, July 1, 1996; brothers, Albert, Jacob and Henry Kamp, and sisters, Anna Sturdevant, Lena Pogge and Nancy Watermiller.
