Elizabeth Faust was born on March 7, 1891, the daughter of Henry and Hulda Stromer Faust, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She received her education in the Arey School in Fort Dodge, Iowa. As a young adult, Elizabeth moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa, with her brother Carl. Carl was employed as a locomotive engineer on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad until his retirement in 1954. Carl died on August 4, 1972. Elizabeth continued living in Eagle Grove, moving to the Rotary Ann Nursing Home on January 3, 1989. She passed away there on May 26, 1991, at the age of 100 years, two months, and 19 days.

She is survived by a cousin, Delwyn Stromer of Overland Park, Kansas, and numerous other cousins. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Carl and William. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Faust were held Wednesday, May 29, 1991 at 10 a.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. Rev. Maynard Moen of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove, officiated. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
