Frances Middleton Wall, 81 of rural Alden died at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital on April 20, 1990. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 23 at the Lee Center United Methodist Church with burial in the Northlawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Robert Dagit officiated.

She was born May 15, 1908 at Clarion, the daughter of Sumner A. and Grace Ellen Arthur Middleton. She graduated in 1926 from Eagle Grove High School and graduated in 1932 from Iowa State University. She and George Earnest Wall were married Feb. 15, 1937. She was a member of Lee Center United Methodist Church, UMW and Jolly Neighbors.

Surviving are three sons, Arthur of rural Alden, Robert of Lutherville, MD., and Russell of Lakeland, FL., nine grandchildren; and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 1973, two brothers, and one sister. Surls Funeral Home of Alden was in charge of arrangements.
