Frank L. Boggs was born December 25, 1901, in Eugene, Ore. He lived in Clarion, Iowa, until moving to Virginia, Minn., in 1985. He married Jane Reed on April 4, 1959, in St. Paul, Minn. He was an engineer for the Chicago and Great Western Railroad until his retirement in 1964. Mr. Boggs was a charter member of First Lutheran Church in Clarion; a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia; a member of Cyrene Lodge No. 325, A.F. & A.M. of Clarion; the Shriners, El Kahir Temple, Cedar Rapids; Mount Lebanon Commandery No. 61, Knights Templar of Clarion; and a former member of the Locomotive Firemen and Engineers Union of Clarion.

Frank L. Boggs died Wednesday, November 23, 1988, at the Arrowhead Health Care Center, Virginia, Minn., at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elvira, in 1957; and by one son, William Boggs in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Jane; two stepsons, Richard Reed, Long Island, N.Y.; Tim Reed, Grand Forks, N.D.; one stepdaughter, Nancy Nichols, Manhattan, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Ethel Slaughter of Clarion.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Virginia, Minn. The Rev. Charles E. Aase officiated. A memorial service was also held at the Arrowhead Health Care Center on Wednesday, December 7 in Virginia. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
