Lisa Mari Karlsdotta [Karlsdotter) was born July 10, 1835, in Kisa, Östergötland, Sweden. She was united in marriage to Swan John Anderson. Mr. Anderson died Sept. 23, 1894. Mrs. Anderson came to this country on July 6, 1901. She came to Eagle to live with her daughter, Mrs. Adolph Anderson of 610 N. Wright street. Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, four of whom are living Axel and Victor, of Boone, Ernest of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Adolph Anderson of Eagle Grove, Iowa. Mrs. Anderson passed away Oct. 31, 1924, at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 21 days. She has been a life long member of the Lutheran church. She has been an invalid for years, being blind for ten years and confined to her bed for the past eight years. She leaves to mourn, the four children already mentioned, 17 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at her daughter's home on N. Wright street, and conducted by Rev. W. G. Muhleman of the M. E. church. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
