In Memory of Barbara A. Bright
January 27, 1938 --- October 1, 2011
Barbara Beireis Bright, 73, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 1, at home following a long and valiant battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on January 27, 1938 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and moved to California at the age of seven. She was the oldest of two children born to Berniece and Henry Beireis. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, George Bright; mother, Berniece Shank; brother Leo Beireis, half sister Susanne Smart, half brother Harlan Shank, son Jack Moore (Erika); stepsons Tom Bright (Jennifer), Dan Bright (Susie) and eight grandchildren.
Barbara worked for over 25 years in the printing industry and in her free time enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with her beloved rottweilers. She will be missed by her family and friends, all of whom are at peace knowing that while her time with them was not nearly long enough – she is no longer fighting her battle and is free of pain.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. October 9, 2011 at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
