September 26, 1895 ---- January 29, 1896

The death angel came to the house of John Lord last Wednesday and removed therefrom baby Ellen at the tender age of 4 months and 3 days. It will be remembered that the mother died when the little one was a few days old and now baby has been taken by the Master as one of the gems to deck his crown and to be with mother from whom it was separated for a short time only. Rev. Martin conducted the funeral services at the house on Thursday, and the little corpse was taken to the Belmond cemetery and interred beside that of its mother. The bereaved family have the deep sympathy of their numerous friends in this their double affliction.
