Elmer Lee Warman, son of Enoch and Mary Sniff Warman was born on June 12, 1892 at Foosland, Illinois. He passed away at St. Claire's Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin on Tuesday, September 9, 1975 at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 27 days. On September 12, 1917 he was united in marriage with Marie Bacon at Iowa Falls, Iowa. To this union were born two daughters and one son. After their marriage the couple farmed south of Alden and later moved to the Popejoy area, where they spent most of their married life. For the past 7 years Elmer had lived in Wisconsin. During his life, he had farmed and was employed at the grain elevator in Popejoy for many years.
He is survived by two daughters and one son: Mary, Mrs. Charles Simonitsch of Wisconsin Dells, Wisc.; Howard L. Warman of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Lois, Mrs. C. C. Abels of Westville, Okla. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, one brother, Chester Warman, who now resides at the Masonic Home in Perry, Iowa and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marie, who died in 1965; one brother, Vernor and an infant brother.
A time of fellowship with the family will be held in the church basement following the service at the cemetery [Oak Hill Cemetery, Popejoy, Iowa]. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
