March 17, 1884 ---- September 22, 1963

Funeral services will be this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Full Gospel Assembly for Amos E. Pletcher, 79, who died Sunday morning at Bruce Blake's pony barn on South Commercial Ave. Mr. Pletcher had gone to the barn early in the morning as was his usual custom and it was there he had the sudden heart attack. He was found by Bruce Blake shortly after 6 a.m. Mr. Pletcher was employed by the Iowa Public Service Co. for 35 years, and retired on pension in 1947.

Mr. Pletcher has made his home with his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Paul Flower Jr. on North Garfield Ave. He is survived by his daughter Mrs. Flower, four grandchildren, David Flower of Waxahatchie, Tex., Miss Paula Flower of Richardson, Texas, Miss Linda Flower of Minneapolis, Minn., and Alan Flower who recently enlisted in the U. S. Navy who will be unable to get leave to attend the funeral. Other survivors are one sister Mrs. Henry Thompson of Cedar Rapids and one brother Edward Pletcher of Manson.

Rev. Kenneth Felton, pastor of the church will officiate at the services and burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
