Funeral services for Neomi Irene Linn, 88, of Estherville, will be held 2 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Eastside Cemetery, Estherville. She passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.

Neomi Irene (Clabaugh) Linn, the daughter of Charles and Susie (Claude) Clabaugh, was born Sept. 15, 1928, on the family farm near Woolstock, Iowa. As a young child Neomi moved with her family to the Dolliver, Iowa, area. She attended the Dolliver School through 8th Grade then switched to Maple Hill School where she graduated from high school. On Dec. 24, 1946, Neomi was united in marriage to Leonard Linn in Jackson, Minnesota. The couple made their home in Estherville where Neomi has spent most of her life and began raising their family. Along with being a mom and homemaker, she and Leonard also worked for Dale D. Jacobson and later she was employed at the Good Samaritan Center for over 15 years. In her leisure time she loved fishing, sewing and reading. Leonard died in 1983. Neomi was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish Neomi's memory are her children, Deanna (Eugene) Sorbo of Estherville; Wanda (Dale) Knudson of Visalia, California; Sonia (Marc) Moore of Armstrong, Iowa; Julia (Patrick) Jasper of Cary, Illinois; six grandchildren: Curtis Knudson, Lynette Sorbo, Debra Chavez, Alan Moore, Jessica Braley and Anthony Jasper; seven great-grandchildren: Quinn Knudson, Bobby, Ruben and Johnathan Chavez, Devin Adams, Lily Moore, and Madeleine Braley; sisters, Viola Clabaugh; and Jeanette Syverson; five in-laws Beulah Linn, Edith Clabaugh, Mary Clabaugh, Donald Syverson, and Janet Catelli; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding Neomi in death were her parents; husband, Leonard; brothers, Charles, Alvin, Alton, Clifford and Donald Clabaugh.
