Deanne R. Charon, 71, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa. A visitation in remembrance of Deanne’s life will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Private interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery.

Deanne Rae Hepperle was born on April 3, 1945 on a farm located near Vincent, Iowa to Carl & Evelyn (Hurley) Hepperle. She spent the first ten years of her childhood there before the family moved to Badger. She attended Fort Dodge Senior High School, graduating in 1963 & continued her education at Burnell College of Cosmetology where she later owned and operated Danny’s Hair Fashions. Together with her mother, the two of them operated Fort Dodge Ceramics Center for many years. Deanne and her husband Bart shared their joy of antiques with Downtown Antiques located in Fort Dodge. Deanne enjoyed painting, shopping, ceramics, and loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Bart Charon and furry canine friend, Casey Bob of Fort Dodge, IA; daughters Andrea (Andy) Johnson of Mason City, IA, Amy (Ryan) Farrell of Fort Dodge, IA, Allison (Isaac) Searcy of Gowrie, IA; siblings, Annette (Gary) Hilton & David (Lyn) Heppele both of Fort Dodge, IA. Grandchildren include Grant, Charlie, Ashlyn, Avery, Makinsey, Finley, Coy, Mya, Caden, Claire, and Cannon. Nieces & nephews include Josh & Jessica, Michele (Mike) Ziemann, Jennifer (Dan) Alsott and one great-nephew Keaton Baker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Evelyn Hepperle, In-Laws, Louis & Renamae Charon, and two brothers Mark & Paul Hepperle. Memorials will be left to the discretion of the family.
