Marian A. Dencklau, 88, of Vincent passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Simpson Health Center Friendship Haven. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church near Vincent with Rev. Bill Van Nostrand officiating. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home.

Marian Adeline the daughter of Louie and Ada Michehl was born July 5, 1928 on her family farm. On November 30, 1947 she was united in marriage to Allen Dencklau. They made their home in Vincent. Then in 1963, the couple moved to the rural Vincent where they cherished their memories together and 67 years of marriage.

Marian is survived by her children, Marilyn (Glen) Blunk; Dean Dencklau of Fort Dodge; Darrel (Diane) Dencklau of Duncombe; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great granddaughters; brother, Ralph of Fort Dodge; Delores Dencklau of Vincent and Leila Insko of Roscoe, IL; sister-in-laws, Beverly Michehl and Evelyn Michehl of Fort Dodge. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen "Allie" Dencklau in 2015; brothers, Delmar, Willis, Earl and Louis; and sister, Darlene Macek.

Marian worked at JCPennys until her retirement. She told everyone -she had the "best family". Marian especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. It was the highlight of her life. Marian had a strong faith in God and believed Angels were always watching over her family. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Vincent and was a part of their Lady's Aid and the quilting and sewing group. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
