March 30, 1997 --- June 26, 2005

Jon Allen Jenison, 8, of Fort Dodge, died on Sunday, June 26, 2005. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 5, at the Northfield Church of Christ, with Rev. Tom Nyman officiating. Accompanist was Patty Rica Van Cannon and soloist was Rev. Nyman. Jon and his brother, Denver Behrends, 10, were swimming in a rain swollen creek. Denver was pulled from the swift moving water by a passersby. Jon's body was found June 30 by rescue workers.

Jon was born on March 30, 1997 in Ft. Dodge, the son of Jeff Jenison and Jade Collingsworth. He would have been a 3rd grader this fall. He loved his church and enjoyed video games, riding his bike, fishing and playing with his dog. Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Jon Allen Jenison. Jon is survived by his father, Jeff (Nicole) Jenison of Fort Dodge; mother, Jade (Mike) Collingsworth (formerly of Belmond) and brothers, Denver and Joshua and sister, Isabellah, all of Fort Dodge; paternal grandmother, Jean Jenison of Belmond; and maternal grandparents, Kim Collingsworth of Fort Dodge and Paul Haugland of Belmond.
