G. Levi Isenberger, 94, of LeGrand, IA, formerly of Baxter, IA passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Bethany United Church of Christ, in Baxter. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the church. Interment will be at Bethany Cemetery, in Baxter. Arrangements are entrusted pending at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown.

Levi was born August 25, 1922, to George and Minnie (Dake) Isenberger, in Clarion, IA. He graduated from Clarion High School in 1940. Levi was united in marriage to Martha Allspach on June 18, 1944, in Baxter. He owned and operated Mar-Lee Cafe, in Baxter. Levi was also employed with Maytag, in Newton. He held many side jobs through the years. He enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening. He loved to fish, taking many trips to do so. The true enjoyment of his life was his family and grandkids.

Levi will be missed by two daughters; Martia Isenberger, of LeGrand, Polly (Steve) Isleman, of Des Moines; a son, Gregg (Pat) Isenberger, of Ames, IA, four grandchildren: Chanel (Michael) Morris, Rion England, Kirstin (Chris) Madden, Jaecob (Holly) Runner; five great grandchildren, a brother, Maynard Isenberger, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, four brothers and four sisters.
