Former Eagle Grove man dies July 30

Charles Merrill, 84, former Eagle Grove resident, died at his home in LuVerne, Minn, on July 30. He was a brother of Mrs. Jack DeVaul of Eagle Grove. He was raised in Eagle Grove, and graduated from high school here, but for many years had been in the shoe business in LuVerne before his retirement. He had been ill about four years. He is survived by two sons and a daughter, his sister, Mrs. DeVaul and a brother, Gordon Merrill, of Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Merrill died four years ago.
