Harold Kluver Dies From Heart Attack

Harold Kluver, who grew up in Grundy Center, died in a hospital in Fort Dodge at 11:30 Tuesday forenoon following a heart attack. He was stricken at his place of business in Eagle Grove about 9 o'clock in the morning and was rushed to the hospital and died shortly after he arrived there. He was 44 years old. The body was returned to Eagle Grove where services will be held Thursday morning. Burial will be in the cemetery at Holland.

Harold Kluver was a son of Henry and Maude Kluver. He graduated from the Grundy Center high school in 1934. Shortly after his marriage to Kathleen Meyer at Wellsburg, the couple moved to Waterloo where he was employed by the Lewis Motor Company until about a year ago when he purchased the Chevrolet Agency at Eagle Grove and he and his family moved there. Surviving are the wife, one daughter, 11, and a son, 16; his parents, and one brother, Howard from Chicago.

H. Kluver Services Here Today

Funeral services for Harold Kluver, 45, will be held Thursday (today) at 1 p.m. in the Samuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Holland, Iowa. The Kastler Funeral home is in charge and the Rev. Jordan T. Jacobsen of Samuel Lutheran Church and the Rev. Geo. E. Harvey of Waterloo will officiate. Mr. Kluver suffered a heart attack Monday morning while at work. He was rushed by ambulance to the Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge where he died a short time later.

Mr. Kluver is survived by his wife Kathleen, one son Stanley and one daughter Susan, also his parents and one brother Howard of Waterloo. Mr. Kluver was born Sept. 5, 1915 in Grundy Center, Iowa. He spent his boyhood there and graduated
from Grundy Center high school. On April 4, 1942 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Meyer of Wellsburg. He saw service in World War II and on discharge he returned to Waterloo. Just a year ago he assumed the Chevrolet-Oldsmobile dealership in Eagle Grove. The Kluvers reside at 206 King Ave.
